Preface to My Book: "Personalized Education in Groups with the Radvanszky Method"

Dear Reader,

I couldn't have found better preface to my book entitled "Personalized Education in Groups with the Radvanszky Method", then the critical thoughts of Hungarian Nobel and Kossuth Prize Winner physiologist and biochemist dr. Albert Szent-Györgyi who analyzed the disappointing situation of Hungarian education in 1930. I have discovered the subsequent wise words after developing an innovative methodology that allows me to provide personalized education while teaching groups of students.

Resonating with the thoughts of the discoverer of Vitamin C, I am finally ready to revolutionize the Hungarian and international education. The objective of the present book is to break down the educational status quo of the past 85 years and finally catapult humanity to the higher dimensions of intellectual and moral development. Achieving this objective is not just a possibility, but also a necessity overriding any other priorities, since the future of humanity and our planet is at stake!

Zoltan Radvanszky

The Opening Speech of the Academic Year Given by Dr. Albert Szent-Györgyi in 1930

Our country is living its most critical hours, when it needs every spark of talent from its people if it doesn't want its name to disappear from among the living. This grave ordeal challenges our school system with new exigencies as well. The school, the builder and the principal shaping source of our future, spells out the decisive word in the war conducted for our national existence.

That is why I was happy to accept the honoring invitation of the committee of the Congress for Physical Education to hold a presentation on the role of our schools in Physical Education. This gave me the opportunity to examine our current educational system inherited from the past – in particular, I intended to find out whether our current school system corresponds to the requirements of our new, challenging times. Summarizing the results of my analysis in brief terms, I must conclude that our current educational system does NOT meet the grave requirements of our new times.

If we were to examine the relationship between school and Physical Education, we should first answer the question: What on Earth is school? What is the purpose and mission of school? Since I am a university professor, please allow me to shed light on this question through the example of the institution closest to me: the university. To do so, I will elucidate those principles, which, in my opinion, must guide EVERY school from elementary school to university.
